One comment on “Nanaimo”

This is the second-largest city on Vancouver Island, and has a population of just over 100,000. The city is nicknamed the “Hub City” partly because its downtown streets radiate outward from the harbour, but also because it’s the transportation hub for Central Vancouver Island, and has 2 BC Ferries terminals, 1 Hullo ferry terminal, a seaplane terminal in the harbour, Nanaimo Airport (CYCD) south of town, and the Island highway connecting all points on the East Coast of Vancouver Island.
