Nairobi is the only capital city in the world with a National park in it (Wild animals in a capital city). Nairobi is the capital of Kenya. Despite being the most economically developed city in East Africa, almost 100,000 homeless people live within it. In the beginning, back in the day, Nairobi was like a huge swamp.

The most important thing to know about Kenya, is to keep your wallet close and protected. It’s no secret that the level of poverty is high compared to other regions. The next thing I recommend is to bring sweaters, rain boots, and jackets. The houses here don’t have insulation, which means it can become very cold inside.

Just like many other cities, Nairobi has tall buildings, busy businessmen and women scurrying to their destination, a large number of cars maybe stuck in traffic or speeding away and street people; beggars. But one thing, not physically, about my city is that despite all the air polluting factories, residents who may seem too caught up in their own issues to glimpse at their neighbor, despite looking and behaving like strangers, we all come together at one park (Uhuru Park) on certain occasions to celebrate our country, our people; us.

Nairobi is the capital of Kenya. It has a population of over four million people. Majority of the population live below the poverty line. And sprawling slums near highly affluent areas are prevalent. The city is also popularly known for its traffic jams. The average rental rate for a two-bedroom apartment in a good neighborhood is $90.
