Eugene is a welcoming college town where people from all walks of life can gather and feel at home. You can find all kinds of interesting music, arts, and sporting events to attend. Homelessness is becoming a big problem, however. The prices for housing are skyrocketing, as they are in many cities around the country.

Presently, Eugene has the highest rate of homelessness across all cities in the United States. Despite such an unfavorable ranking, it is a relatively safe place with a friendly local population. For this reason, Eugene and its surrounding areas have experienced a massive inflow of out-of-state residents in recent decades.

Most people you come across, are often compassionate and open-minded. The comfort and humility that you find is almost shocking. The landscape and nature can provide feelings that are incomparable. Oregon sure knows how to leave a mark on your heart.
