The cost of food is much higher than in Jhb or CT. There’s also a large contingent of people that still belive it’s 1980. Otherwise it’s honestly one of the most gorgeous towns to live in in South Africa.

Hermanus is a small beautiful town located near the sea.Anyone looking for a great sea view should consider Hermanus. Is is also expensive because it is considered as a holiday town where people come to relax and spend their money. It is also full of competitive restaurants that offer different types of food.

It is well known for its shore based whale watching and shark cage diving. It also has one of the greatest biodiversity plant groups in the world. Additionally it has great restaurants and Cliffside walks, fantastic views and places to stay which provide for a unique place and an retire.

Hermanus is the whale watching capital of South Africa. We have an abundance of wine farms that boast international winning wines and are sure to have the right wine for the wine lover. We have beautiful beaches for the sun lovers and surfers. There is a nature reserve where you can enjoy an early morning or late afternoon brisk walk. The town hosts a farmers market every Saturday where local crafters can showcase their work. Fresh, organic produce is also available and there are plenty of food stalls to interest just about every food craving. Locally crafted beer can be enjoyed whilst sitting down to enjoy your food listening to the sweet sounds of the live music performed by one of the locals. You will never want to leave this beautiful little coastal town.

Hermanus is an amazing town, but the economy relies heavily on tourism. If you want to live here, you should have an entrepreneurial mindset. it is one of the best places in the world for whale watching. Every year, between May and December, Southern Right Whales pass through our waters on their annual migration; it’s a wonderful sight!

It is quite a small town, but Hermanus has a lot to offer. The town is nestled between mountains and the Atlantic ocean. Hermanus offers great quality wine farms and restaurants, with a number of art galleries. It also has a unique offer of whales and their calves during spring. It is a beautiful town, with a friendly local community.

Hermanus is known as the place called, ‘Heaven on Earth’. If you visit my city, bring along your friends as you will be spending lots of time visiting the ‘Heaven and Earth’ wine route and sampling all their world-renowned wines! From Pinot to Chardonnay, you will not be disappointed.
