Granite City is known for having a troubled past. That being said, there have been many improvements made that have alleviated the fears of current residents. Crime has decreased and the property values have increased at a steady rate over the last few years. In fact, many homeowners have decided to not sell their homes and are instead doing more to increase their property values themselves.
