Fort Worth is a great city with a rich western heritage. It’s not as expensive to live here as compared to Dallas. There is an abundance of activities to enjoy. Housing is more affordable than many areas of the USA.

If you come to Texas, you should probably like meat, a lot of it, cooked in every sort of way, but we love our BBQ. If you are vegan and have the propensity to relapse on meat, then coming here will assure that little slip. Also, we like to deep fry things, lots of things, like ice cream and things you could not even imagine deep-fried. Come visit us. Bring your appetite! 🙂

It gets very hot during the summer months. The majority of people moving here experience allergy problems. There are many delicious restaurants to experience.

Fort Worth is among many smaller cities located in this metropolitan area. It is referred to as the “DFW metro area” which consists of: Dallas, Arlington, Grand Prairie, Fort Worth, and many surrounding cities and suburban areas. The population in Fort Worth alone is over four million people. There are so many great opportunities in this area!

Fort Worth has been known as “Cowtown” for well over 150 years. The old cattle drives headed north left their mark, and the life of the Texas cowboy can be glimpsed here today. Take a walk through the historic North Side Stockyards District to see this legacy. Thankfully, Fort Worth is still a big small town.

Fort Worth is known for the Fort Worth Stockyards. The stockyards have delicious barbecue, shopping, and activities like bull riding. The rodeo is held here each year in February. There is also a stock show held at the stockyards that brings thousands of people from all over the country each year. The Fort Worth Stockyards is the main tourist attraction for Fort Worth.

Fort Worth is a big city many tall buildings. You will find a plethora of job opportunities and amusements. There are many people here with a variety of backgrounds so a person could easily make a friend or two. Something to keep in mind upon moving here is that some of the driving can be horrendous.

Fort Worth is often overlooked when compared to Dallas, but it is definitely its own city. Fort Worth possesses a number of attractions, including the historic Stockyards district, a nationally recognized zoo, and the world-class Kimbell Art Museum. The job possibilities in the Fort Worth market are endless as well. You will find cowboys and artists. The climate is very hot in summer, but very pleasant in winter.

Even if there weren’t many jobs in the heart of Fort Worth, there is plenty more in the outer ranges of the city and other options just within twenty to forty-five minutes of driving.

It is difficult to get around. Traffic is terrible most of the time. The freeways are a jumble, going every-which-way and one or the other of them is usually under construction. Drivers are extremely discourteous here. There is public transportation available; however, it is not easily accessible for most people.

The longest freeway runs east/west and the sun shines directly in your eyes while you’re driving either in the morning or the evening. Drivers are discourteous and impatient.

Anyone moving to Fort Worth should know there is a lot of traffic! Having just moved here myself, the bustling area has taken some getting used to. However, after a few weeks of navigating the area, I have become accustomed to the amount of people traversing these heavily travelled roadways.
