Though heavily polluted, Delhi is a beautiful city. Also, it is quite crowded and overly populated. Delhi is referred to as ‘Dilwalon ki Dilli’ very often, and it holds true in a sense as people tend to just think and act from their hearts much. Delhi is a hub of Indian Politics, Potpourri of Cultures, Media, Hospitality, Education, Liberated Attitudes, etc. and has a rich cultural heritage. Living is easy in terms of finding an affordable place to live. Delhi is not safe in the dusk – for ANYONE. Do not travel unaccompanied/ alone during odd hours, if possible. Please try to be at your place by 10 PM. Keep some urgent phone/helpline numbers handy, if you can.

The city that I reside in is one of the busiest in the country. Being a regular college student whose college is located in the heart of Delhi, I get to see various different sights everyday which I find highly amusing and interesting. All in all, I love the place that I am in.

Delhi offers a huge number of jobs. The education system is also top notch. In addition the metro provides a relief from traffic. However, on the other hand it is costlier than staying in any other city. Also, crude language is pretty common here and the pollution level is already known to the country.

City life is full of advantages and disadvantages. There are a lot of advantages of living in a city. The people in cities enjoy some special facilities and comforts unlike the village people. Their houses are modern, streets are well-lighted. They can go shopping and buy everything they need. In case of sickness they can avail the treatment of best doctors. They can receive education in schools, colleges and universities of high standard.

If you’re looking or a rented space, you should consider the locality before giving any advance to the landlord. If it is a particularly crowded residential area, deposit only a month’s rent as security. Connectivity to metro is a must in Delhi, unless you live within 2-3 miles to your workplace or college.
