1- Don’t assume that everybody speaks English: In fact, apart from university campuses and some pubs, ASSUME that nobody speaks English.

2- Beware the weather: Winter can be really brutal here. Moreover, the continental climate nature makes daytime very hot in summer and nights unexpectedly cold.

3- Ankara is not a touristic place and it does not have the hype of an international city. However, Ankara is full of interesting people, you need to dig in more to find them.

4- Get used to the public transportation networks: It will save you great deals of time and money.

It is a modern European metropolis and capital of Turkey. Ancient castles and ruins from Ottoman civilizations show the view. The modern city includes government and government houses, large universities, military bases, consulates, and Youth Park, the oldest park in the city. A great place. It is famous for Anitkabir.
