Cedar Rapids, Iowa, is a relatively inexpensive place. You can purchase a home for half the cost of one in nearby Iowa City, and even less than half the cost of a home in a larger city. It is small enough to get from one place to another fairly quickly, without traffic jams of larger cities, yet large enough to have some of the amenities, such as cozy coffee shops, a variety of restaurants from pizza to Indian cuisine and a wide choice of places to shop.

A city that is rich in culture and arts, Cedar Rapids is filled with such places and organizations as The National Czech and Slovak Museum and Library, the African American Museum of Iowa, Orchestra Iowa and Theatre Cedar Rapids.

With so many activities and places to choose from, it’s no wonder Cedar Rapids is nicknamed “The City of Five Seasons”!
