A great little beach town with awesome waves and lovely people.

Ventura is a town of about 100,000 people about an hour north of Los Angeles on the California Coast, 30 minutes further on Hwy 101 takes you to Santa Barbara. Ventura has a lovely pier (which was once the longest pier in California), a lovely downtown area, lots of good restaurants, and a boardwalk along the oceanfront that allows you to watch the surfers who come from all over the world to surf the Rincon area.

Homes in Ventura typically do not have central air installed because it is a beach city. This is not an issue in most cases, however there are are a few weeks yearly when the heat can be unbearable without a/c. This is why it is wise to purchase a portable a/c unit to keep stored.
