The city was a major port for the textile industry in the 1600s and many of the old buildings remain today, still in use! It’s vibrant and active, with a large university campus in the north, and a diverse population.
Exeter is a quaint city in the South West of England that has an idyllic quayside and appeals to students and professionals. There is a lively music scene and a great selection of pubs and restaurants, both of which have a friendly community feel. For those interested in local history, there is a beautiful cathedral, and a tour of the ancient underground passages is offered, providing an engaging exposure of the rich history of the city, perfect for both children and adults. it is just a short train ride from Exmouth beach to which people flock during summer.
