Residents are given the two unparalleled luxuries of being in the heart of the American midwest and feeling a coastal-like beach breeze.
Chicago is extremely cold during winter. Temperatures drop below 30 degrees consistently. It is imperative that you wear a heavy coat, keep your face covered and wear gloves to keep from getting hypothermia. During summer, Chicago can get extremely hot.
