Helmet is rundown. Nothing to do, very hot, tons of abandoned animals every day and no shelter! Crime is sky high so be very careful. Lots of homeless young people too.
Anyone moving to Hemet should know it is a retirement community. It is in the San Jacinto Valley. While it is not a vibrant city, it is within an hours drive from San Diego, California, which has all the amenities of most major cities. Hemet is also located 85 miles Northeast of Los Angeles, California; the entertainment Capital of the world. Although it can get very hot during summer, the weather is very nice between October through April.
If someone were moving to the city of Hemet, the weather is very hot and dry. There are some nice areas of this city, but, on the other hand, there are a lot of worn-down areas, too. The housing here is fairly cheap, especially compared to other cities such as those closer to the counties of Los Angeles or San Diego.
