The city of Valdosta is quaint and quiet in some parts while others are rowdy and lively. Be prepared for days without much to do, but you should also prepare for days with insane traffic and police sirens coming from every direction. After a few seemingly long months, you will find your balance in “The City with No Limits”.

When Valdosta State’s college students return home for summer, Valdosta is a quiet and peaceful town. However, when students return for classes resuming in August, the bars, restaurants, and shops are filled with people. The roads become very busy and congested, and traffic is a nightmare. I enjoy living here, but sometimes, I wish it weren’t so full of young adults.

If anyone moves to Valdosta, they should know the military base. There is a lot of traffic during the week around 7a. m and four PM It is important to choose a place that is away from base to void unnecessary traffic. However, it is cheaper to live closer to the base.
