Are there taxis in Tema? What about scooters? What are the public transportation options? Here's what five local experts had to say about transportation methods in Tema, Greater Accra.

My city has that formal look. In the mornings, everybody wants to get to work on time. Though people are eager to make it to work on time as I said earlier, they exercise some patience. But for the people who drive the public transports, they’re always creating chaos. This causes more time to be wasted.

HELPFUL REPORT

As a result of the number of cars exceeding the number of roads made available by the government of Ghana in the state, the state is always overcrowded and hence, you’re left with no other choice but to hustle your way on the streets so you reach your destination on time.

Tema has one of Ghana’s two harbours. Recently the harbour was expanded to accommodate bigger ships. My city also has a free zones enclave where goods are manufactured mostly for export. Tema is one of the cities built by Ghana’s first president Dr. Kwame Nkrumah. Tema has an industrial area which houses a lot of companies like Nestle, Tema oil refinery, Valco and Alu Work just to mention a few.

The person must be well prepare for a hot weather condition and the people in my city are very kind and good people. We have a good accommodation and luxurious hotels and motels around which he can enjoy his stay in my country before he leaves. We have good transport system in place which will facilitate his movement.

Tema is a beautiful place with some parts being quiet and other parts, busy. It has a lot of communities which stretches into other areas. There are a lot of eateries around. There are also marketplaces, hospitals, schools, churches, mosques, hotels and recreational centres but not many remarkable tourist site. There’s a place allocated for industries to operate. Good and accessible roads and traffic lights.
