What are transportation options and challenges in Southampton, England?

Southampton is a great city, which benefits from being on the coast, and within easy reach of the New Forest National Park. The weather is some of the best in the UK, being sunny and warmer than the rest of the country. There are a lot of parks and open spaces, and plenty of cycle routes.
This city has nothing much to it, however, there are certain areas that are prone to crime; this includes Millbrook. The shopping centers in and around the city center are sometimes busy but if you are able to go when it is quiet, there shouldn’t be any crowds. In addition to this, there is also a busy port that handles cargo containers and holds a number of cruise ship terminals.
Southampton, for the most part, should be considered the most rural type of city life possible. Not only does it have very little in terms of real-world appeal, but it also manages to fail at providing any useful form of public transport. While housing a few nice cafes, there is very little else that garners some form of quality.
