If moving to Kaduna, then know it is one of the coldest States in the north of Nigeria. The cost of living in Kaduna is pretty cheap as is with almost all states in this part of Nigeria. Prepare to feast your eyes on rich Hausa culture, although majority of the inhabitants are Muslims there are also Christians who have made this state their permanent home. Why? Houses are relatively cheap to lease or rent and even buy compared to other parts of the nation, food is affordable, cost of transportation is also very affordable. If moving to northern Nigeria then Kaduna should be first on your list, just come with jackets for the cold and moisturizer for your skin.

I will say for the first few weeks get somewhere comfortable maybe a hotel, give yourself some time to acclimate and get familiar with the environment first, before settling down to buy a house. secondly, take your time to plan your commute and some route. I would also suggest meeting new people and having a network of your particular kind of people by joining organized and social groups. never forget where you came from you can always keep in touch with your former friend and colleagues from your former city.
