What are transportation options and challenges in Douala, Littoral?

Living in Douala, you need to be patient and courageous. The way transporters (taxis and motor bikers) speed and don’t respect the highway code is alarming. Most people living and working in Douala earn below the amount that can sustain living in the town, thus paying rent, buying food, transportation, paying for utilities, medical bills, etc. comes at a cost the citizens can’t afford. The rate of crime is alarming due to the high rate of unemployment, many youths have turned to pickpockets, armed robberies or scamming to find refuge and make money, most of which engage into heavy drinking and smoking and drug abuse.
However the town of Douala is not all about negatives, it is the economic capital of Cameroon hence it’s where big companies and factories are located and where business is at its peak. Any hardworking and determined person can make a living in Cameroon.

Douala is the economic capital of Cameroon and it is found in the Littoral region. It contains one of the countries most busiest international airport. It contains all tourist long for in terms of site seeing and offers a multitude of hotels for tourist to be comfortable on arrival to the city. It’s the most enjoyable part of my county in terms of culture and having a variety of almost every foodstuff.

He needs to know because of traffic congestion during rush hour, he should be prepared to work using motorcycle transport services rather than a personal car. He should also take into consideration that comfortably housing in Douala (my city) maybe expensive. He should also know that food is relatively cheap compared with many towns around the world.

he needs to prepare some clothes before coming here because it is very cold sometimes. there are beautiful places here like mountains, some rivers and some villages to discover. In this case a camera will be helpful to share this moment with some friends and families. It’s also better to travel earlier to avoid traffic jam.
