Nobody likes traffic. Not a single soul. Here's what three local experts had to say about traffic in Windhoek, Khomas. Perhaps you'll find some tips to avoid rush hour and some potholes.

My city has a lot of mountains surrounding it. Certain roads and buildings reside on hills. There are so many cars to look at, taxi drivers yelling out for customers, and of course all the traffic. It’s an interesting place to travel to especially during the summer, we love it here.

HELPFUL REPORT

Windhoek is the capital city of Namibia with tall buildings and beautiful night lights. Most of the industrial areas are found in Windhoek where one can easily get a job. It is very difficult moving around Windhoek from school, work, gym and shopping due to the high increasing traffic during the morning hours and knock off time. Windhoek is a beautiful city.

WIndhoek is the capital of Namibia and is thus the most densely populated city in Namibia. I recommend that someone who wishes to move to Windhoek considers finding accommodation closest to areas of their interest, such as their workplace, since traffic in Windhoek is nightmarish. This is not only due to the large number of vehicles during peak hours, but also due to taxi cab drivers who have a general disregard for traffic rules and are therefore participants in most road accidents.
