Stellenbosch is a charming little town. It’s an artists’ haven with, amongst others, Dylan Lewis’ sculpture garden to meander through. There are also many beautiful trails to hike or run. It is also a foodies’ dream with plenty of top notch restaurants and wonderful wineries and indoor and outdoor markets.

Stellenbosch is well-known for its wine lands and mountainous landscapes. Any person visiting Stellenbosch should bring along their hiking boots to explore the mountains and all the beauty it has to offer. Wine enthusiasts would love to know Stellenbosch has 49 wine farms, with world-class restaurants on their premises. For those not interested in hiking, wine, or food – Stellenbosch offers multiple game farms to look at wildlife and lots of boutique shops for souvenir shopping.

Stellenbosch is a very condensed town. As a visitor, you need to take more than a day to explore the various small shops that give you options from clothing lines, to paintings and artworks through to pottery. After having finished the sightseeing your in the town self, you should expand your to into the wine farms surrounding central Stellenbosch.
