If you move to Newton, MA, know that, although it is nearby and certainly tempting on a hot day, the Charles River is not the best body of water to swim in. Rather than swim, most residents choose to rent canoes and kayaks at local boathouses to explore the river. There is a small boathouse next to the hotel that has excellent hourly rates.
Newton is a lovely suburb of Boston, approximately a 15-20-minute drive from the city and 30-40 minutes taking the subway, known as the T to locals. It is a beautiful and relatively quiet town full of friendly and welcoming individuals from all walks of life. The city is teeming with gorgeous parks and wildlife that are open to all. If one is dedicated, diligent, and open-minded, they will find a home in Newton.
If moving Newton, know property here is very expensive. A small apartment can cost 2-3,000 dollars per month, however the city is well worth that price. We have beautiful parks to relax in, and wonderful tree-lined roads to walk along. During autumn, the trees light up in beautiful reds, oranges, and yellows, gradually blanketing roads in color. Newton is a beautiful place.
