Kaunas is one of the largest cities in Lithuania. While it only has a population of about 300,000 people, it is famous for its love for sports, especially basketball. If you see or hear fans chanting in the middle of a night – it is nothing to be disturbed by, because those kinds of situations can be described as daily events. Besides many restaurants, events, and museums, Kaunas is a huge attraction for photography lovers as this city has many great scenery all over the places. It is not expensive to live here, simply because prices are especially adequate. Although, one of the disadvantages is the weather as it is impossible to predict it.

Kaunas, the second-largest city in Lithuania, is conveniently at the heart of Lithuania. It has a historic Old Town part which dates back to the 1300s. Whether you’re leading an active or more of a sedentary lifestyle, the city caters for everyone. What’s more, the legendary hydrofoil “Raketa” has been recently revived, which means that the seaside resort Nida can once more be reached from Kaunas by boat. A relaxing journey takes less than four hours to complete.
