Living in Iasi is quite an eclectic experience as it is not only the cultural capital of Romania but at the same time, a preferred destination for young students from around the world, that want to study medicine or engineering. The most prominent mark of the town is the Palace of Culture, a neo-gothic architectural wonder that was built before the 2nd World War and it is now the centerpiece of the main square. Also, one could indulge in the largest east-European botanical garden or in relax in the numerous parks and promenade streets in town. However, the city is busy and continuously developing, which means frequent traffic jams, higher than average rents, and difficult to find parking spaces. But overall Iasi is a city that never sleeps, with many interesting music and art festivals through the year and with a compelling cultural base that would delight people of all ages.

Stefanescu, says: 2020

Packed with students (so bars and nightclubs), cool history related places, big parks and even one of Europe’s biggest salt-water natural oak, Iasi is an unpolished diamond. If you’re looking for a cool job, we have major corporations looking for young talents.

Savescu, says: 2020

There are many students year-round, except for summer of course. There are also many beautiful historical museums and places. You can find only two big malls, but plenty of small boutiques. The city has a very active nightlife, many coffee shops and clubs for partying.
