Gateshead is south of the Tyne, opposite Newcastle upon Tyne. It is a vibrant town, with many local attractions. These include ‘The Sage’, a music venue, and ‘The Baltic Mills’, an art gallery. Gateshead has good transport links by road and rail and is a very pleasant place.

Gateshead and Newcastle are well known for their nightlife, and so if one likes to party, there are few better places. However, what I enjoy most about this area is that everything a person might need in terms of basic necessities can be found within a very small area. Therefore, it is easy to walk everywhere, relying very little on public transport.
