Columbia is a wonderful place. Founder James Rouse had a vision of a racially and ethnically integrated city. Bustling village centers would meet the needs of the surrounding communities, and well maintained public spaces would offer services and activities for residents. I am proud to be a resident of Columbia, MD.

Moving to Columbia, MD is an amazing choice for anybody considering new opportunities. Not only does Columbia serve ample job resources and career choices, it is fulfilled with a variety of activities to partake in as well. The schools and education are top-notch, the nature and scenery is spectacular, and the people are overall kind and welcoming.

Someone moving to Columbia, Maryland should know there are a lot of animals in the area, such as deer, squirrels, owls, groundhogs and even bats! My city has an abundance of Caucasians, and everyone is friendly. It is a little crowded, but that makes for a great turnout of events and many places to hang out with friends.

You will need a car to get around since the public transportation system is not very robust. Columbia is in a safe county, and most entertainment facilities and social activities are within an accessible distance. There is a wider variety of dining options around. Columbia is part of Howard county that is one of the safest counties in America.
