Telford has a thriving and spacious contemporary indoor shopping centre at its heart. Elsewhere, visitors to this modern town, previously named Telford New Town, can also enjoy the many historical landmarks dotted around the sprawling townscape. The largest and most populous town in Shropshire, Telford rests in the shadow of the glorious yet gentle Wrekin hill.
Telford is a bustling and vibrant city overall, it has lots of industry and was arguably the birthplace for the industrial revolution. Notwithstanding this history it also a modern place that is constantly moving forward. Overall it is an excellent place with lots of modern amenities.
Telford is a town formed during the 1970s when a series of mining villages were connected by the creation of a newly built shopping centre and the insertion of a new road network. Today, Telford is a thriving community with excellent transport links and an abundance of affordable housing.
