Ado Ekiti is the capital of Ekiti state. It’s a peaceful Yoruba city. Accommodation is fairly cheap. Indigenes speak mostly Yoruba but most understand English. Light is reasonable. Downside is no cinema, shoprite or airport. But fairly reasonable malls. Just average hangout joints. Nightlife is non existent. Overall it’s a fairly safe and affordable city but a little boring and non indigenous people might continuously have to tell people they don’t understand Yoruba.
Ado Ekiti is a developing urban area. The city contains multiple schools, religious centres and shops. You can get whatever you need within at least a 10 minutes walk. Electricity is of minor concern and is recently more developed. This means that unless you live in a really rural area, you have a fair chance of good electricity and water supply.
