Steele, Missouri, is a very small town in the bootheel of Missouri. The town has almost two-thousand people in it, which seems small, but the impact of the community in one’s life is huge. Steele has a great school, South Pemiscot Schools, that teaches students the importance of community service and working with one another to make the small town a great place to live. During homecoming week, small businesses allow the South Pemiscot Art Club to paint their windows to promote the big game.

Although our state is not considered a Southern state, the well-loved southern hospitality is great in this small town. The police officers are willing to help in any situation, any person in town would be more than happy to assist you in finding where you need to go, and nobody would mind paying for your meal if needed. The school sports teams may not go to play big championship games or may not have many good players, but the entire town shows up to games to support the teams and the coaches have never given up. Steele, Missouri may not be a big college town or have anyone famous from it, but the love of the community makes Steele a great place to be.
