While quality of life is something of an elusive or ill-defined concept, it can be boiled down to "Is Norwich a good place to live?" or "Is Norwich a bad place to live?" Here's what two local experts had to say about quality of life and overall happiness in Norwich, England.

Norwich is a wonderful place. It is steeped in history, and for a time it was considered the second city of England behind London. This history is readily visible by way of the tens of cathedrals that can be found in all corners of Norwich. Equally, among the 100s of pubs in Norwich are some which date from the 1100s.

Life moves slowly in Norwich; I find it to be awfully quiet, at times. However, the people are amiable, there is a plethora of fine public houses and restaurants, and the market has all sorts of colourful trinkets. Generally, I should take care to recommend that the west and central city are most pleasant, while the rest should be avoided.
