Colorado Springs has many social services making it a good place to retire to. When it snows during winter walking can be dangerous because of the buildup of ice on the sidewalks and streets. They have a very nice library that provides free movie rentals and classes, such as learning to use the internet.
Decide if you can handle the lack of humidity. In addition to being a dry climate the winters and summers can be hard on those who dislike higher and lower temperatures, as it gets rather hot in the summer and cold in the winter. All in all, Colorado Springs has some amazing hiking trails and I recommend trying some of them out to anyone who enjoys nature and exercise.
Colorado Springs is a beautiful and growing city. Many would consider it to be overcrowded, but this is due to the many military bases in close proximity. It draws people from all over with its beautiful scenery and plentiful activities, especially for the outdoor enthusiast. Regardless of someone’s preference, there is something in this wonderful city to love!
