If you are moving to Sunnyvale, CA, you should know it is in the Bay Area and it is next door to Santa Clara, CA, home of the San Francisco 49ers. I live within walking distance. The Bay Area is very expensive, but prices appear to gone down slightly. Sunnyvale is quiet. Downtown is small, but can be busy around the Murphy Street where there are clusters of restaurants and small shops. I like it because it appears to be centrally located in the Bay Area. It is 11 miles north of San Jose and 40 miles south of San Francisco. It has lots of parks, including one for the developmentally and intellectually disabled. People are very active. Lots of walkers and bicyclist. Has a good library and community center.

Sunnyvale is a hub for great technology companies such as it is a part of Silicon Valley. It lies about an hour away from San Francisco and San Jose is the nearest city. Overall it is a beautiful valley with a relaxed environment with several open parks and almost all modern amenities.
