London is the perfect city for raising a family. It has low-crime, all essential amenities, and quiet parks.
London, Ontario, is a wonderful city. London is about two hours west of the GTA, which provides convenience for people who want to be in a metropolitan city while being close to urban places. There are a lot of places to explore, from indoor activities such as museums to outdoor ones like the Springbank.
My city has excellent hospitals. There are three hospitals in total, one of which is on the university campus and offers experimental treatments. My city is also known for its verdant scenery. Sometimes called the “Forest City”, my city has many mature trees in most neighbourhoods, in addition to numerous parks and green spaces.
There are two things that London is best known for, one being that it is a forest city and two is being a retirement city. It is not the place if you have a tree phobia since most streets are lined with them. There is an abundance of bike and walking trails along the river making London an ideal spot for the outdoor enthusiast. The low key atmosphere makes this city a great place to retire, however, there is very little nightlife in the downtown core. If late night fun is what you are looking for, Toronto might be a better choice.
As its name implies, London, Ontario, is modelled after the renowned city of London, England. Lovingly referred to as “the Forest City” – because of the many trees conservation areas and parks that abound in the city – London is a quiet, yet busily commercial city that has a lot to offer to everyone.
