Another key thing regarding winter is to have proper winter boots to keep their feet warm.

London is mid-size town offering a world-class university and specialized medical services. Also, it is known as the ‘Forest City’ because every tree that falls naturally or cut-down intentionally is replaced immediately by planting a new tree. London is the perfect city for raising a family. It has low-crime, all essential amenities, and quiet parks.

London is a beautiful city with plenty of foliage and displays of Canadian culture. There are many post-secondary institutions in my city; newcomers should be aware of the large student-based population. London is also the home of many seasonal festivals that bring different communities together and promote inclusivity. Lastly, a newcomer should keep in mind that London has a lot of history. This is especially evident in the downtown core, Richmond Row, a name coined by locals.

My city has excellent hospitals. There are three hospitals in total, one of which is on the university campus and offers experimental treatments. My city is also known for its verdant scenery. Sometimes called the “Forest City”, my city has many mature trees in most neighbourhoods, in addition to numerous parks and green spaces.

There are two things that London is best known for, one being that it is a forest city and two is being a retirement city. It is not the place if you have a tree phobia since most streets are lined with them. There is an abundance of bike and walking trails along the river making London an ideal spot for the outdoor enthusiast. The low key atmosphere makes this city a great place to retire, however, there is very little nightlife in the downtown core. If late night fun is what you are looking for, Toronto might be a better choice.

Despite this diversity, it is still filled with racism.

As its name implies, London, Ontario, is modelled after the renowned city of London, England. Lovingly referred to as “the Forest City” – because of the many trees conservation areas and parks that abound in the city – London is a quiet, yet busily commercial city that has a lot to offer to everyone.

London is a city of rampant homelessness and political uncertainty. To live here is to accept that you are in a constant in-between state of one side versus another. That is to say, living here is to accept two sides of a similar coin. The coin is constantly flipped and you must accept the fate.
