My city is an industrial place known as ‘the city of gold’. It is the biggest city in South Africa with many job opportunities, three brilliant universities, vibrant nightlife and top tourist attractions such as the Apartheid museum, Lion and Safari parks and Gold Reef city etc.

Johannesburg is a very beautiful city, the nightlife is incredible, the game reserves are a must! Housing is amazing and affordable. The parks are good to go to and most are pet and braai friendly. There is many amazing fishing and hunting trips to go on.

Although Johannesburg is known as ‘The city of Gold’, rent can be quite high. Make sure to research the different suburbs. Not only will you get a feel for the rent prices, but you will also get to see what type of suburb would best suit your lifestyle i.e there are many beautiful family oriented suburbs, boasting a variety of schools and parks.

Be prepared for crazy traffic, whether during hour or not. You will however meet some of the friendliest people on the planet. The cost of living is relatively low, so the accommodation tends to also be reasonable. The wonderful weather is something to sure enjoy all year round. This makes for excellent visits to nature parks and nature reserves.

The city is also moving up in the technology space, offering free WiFi in almost all public spaces. It also boosts the first high speed train in Africa, Gautrain.

There are parts of the city that are very safe, but there are also those parts that nobody should be found after a certain time. The best part about the city is the vibe. it has a host of entertainment places, such as restaurants, theaters, parks, clubs and other formal and informal places to enjoy yourself.

Johannesburg is a beautiful city, known for its diversity of people, food, languages, and cultures. The weather is usually temperate, with rainy summers, but please beware of the biting winter air! It is also quite large and contains many places to visit – such as historical buildings, museums, and wildlife parks.

Johannesburg aka Jozi known to locals is a city known for its flashy night lights and its nightclubs. It is also full of history as is also where a Nobel Peace prize winner lived Mr Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela and his ex wife Mrs Winnie Mandela.
