Farmington has many outdoor activities. There are miles of mountain biking trails right in town. Forty-five minutes north is a huge lake that you can wakeboard and wake surf on with beautiful views of mesas and the desert landscape. Also, about an hour away is a ski resort in Durango, Colorado. There are also many hiking trails around the area and access to ancient Indian ruins. There are many community events that occur in Farmington, and when you go, you will always see someone that greets you with a warm smile. There is a great sense of community in the area and if you need help with anything, there is always someone that will reach out to help.

Farmington is a town of roughly 50,000 people, so it is not too big or too small. Farmington has outdoor access and a close-knit community. Farmington is located in the northwestern corner of New Mexico. It is also referred to as the four corners area because it is where Utah, New Mexico, Arizona, and Colorado all meet at a point. Due to this, you can take trips that are only a few hours to each of the four bordering states.
