Tips for Moving and Visiting

Not much night life, unless you’re a college kid. Not a lot to do in Norman, but great place for school.
One thing people should know about moving to Norman is the OU football team. This town is very prideful of their team, and can become fanatic When defending them. When you visit this city, tell people who you root for the Sooners. The Pride this city has for its football team is a rare sight to behold.
Someone moving to Norman should know it is a moderately liberal city in a very conservative state. Norman is a diverse university town with a progressive city council. Currently, extremists are attempting to recall The mayor and several city council members due to their progressive stances and actions.
Norman, Oklahoma’s motto is “Building an Inclusive Community” because of its diversity. Students come to the University of Oklahoma in Norman, literally, from all over the world; therefore, it is not unusual to hear people speaking languages you’ve never heard. This is one of the things I greatly enjoy about living in Norman.
Norman is a lively college town. The University of Oklahoma campus is gorgeous, and the surrounding area has many great bars, restaurants, and shops to explore. While the university can be crowded around graduation and during football games, the area is normally wonderful for walking and biking for exercise. I enjoy everything Norman has to offer.
