Nazareth is an ancient city in the northern district of Israel, and today it is the second largest Arab city in Israel. According to the New Testament Mary, the mother of Jesus and her husband Saint Joseph in Nazareth, in whom the gospel was given and in whom Jesus came of age, lived here. For this reason, the city houses a number of holy sites for Christianity, most of which are sites associated with the gospel.
