If moving to Butuan City, you must first learn our culture, and that includes our native language, Bisaya. This is necessary to communicate effectively to the citizens and even avoid scams. If you have difficulty learning the language, do not worry, because most of the citizens are still able to speak some English.

Butuan City is actually quite known for its historical sites which they should consider knowing if they love adventures. But, they should know about the routes within the city proper which could also help them avoid traffic. Speaking of traffic, they should know what time of the day is best to roam around the city without being stuck in traffic. The city is alive at night which is a very crucial hint.

Butuan City is a good place to move for someone considering good and affordable living conditions. urban life is developing fast in the city especially with the entry of malls, entertainment centres and other business enterprises. Culturally speaking, Butuan City is the home of balangays and is known for Limasawa, one of the most significant locations in Philippine history.

Once, there was no Philippines, but there was Butuan. This city is filled with history, from the ancient Balangay Boat, the Golden tara, and surely, more of it are yet to be discovered. Butuan’s folks used to speak the native language “Butuanon”. Sadly, as the economy rises, its words are slowly perishing. Hence, people who knows how to speak Butuanon are teaching the youth on how significant this native language is, and how it greatly affects history.
