Is Butuan City boring? Is it fun? How do people relax in their free time? From playing and watching live sports to listening to live music to volunteering, here's what seven local experts had to say about things to do in Butuan City, Agusan Del Norte.

Our city is peaceful and polluted. Hotels and other resting places are not expensive. People are hospitable and smiles are plastered on their faces whenever you meet or see them. We also have lots of tourist spots even though our place is considered a city. To sum up, our city is a must-visit place.

HELPFUL REPORT

Before moving to Butuan City, it is quite a small city, unlike Metro Manila. However, it offers certain advantages that big cities don’t have, such as upscale housing for cheaper rent, availability and easy access to farmer’s markets, and a sense of community. Also, much like a big city, there are a lot of coffee shops and shopping malls to spend your leisure time in. If you are looking for a city that has the peace of rural living and the advantage of an urban setting, Butuan City is the best place for you.

Butuan City is the capital of Caraga region. It lies in the valley surrounded by rivers. The mountains surrounding it is a perfect view of contemplation and reflection. There are only few tourist sites in our place. We only have few malls, one museum and a beach which is not that attractive like the other known beaches. But, the people in Butuan are hospitable and friendly.

They can insure safety in our peaceful place with cheerful people in the society that won’t harm you. The laws are being implemented correctly. Our city has good governance by our Local Government Unit and help others who needs attention. Also, the city has wonderful tourist spot that can you visit.

It is the center for commerce and regional offices are evident. People are coming here to venture businesses. Also, it is the capital of our province and airports are located. We have also tourist spots related to history that makes you reminisce the past. People also are accommodating and friendly.

2. It has some bars that you can relax with your friends during the weekend.
3. There are lots of transport that you can use whenever you go.
4. It is very safe during the night wherever you go walking.
5. The city is the center of the region.

Butuan City is in north of Mindanao. Its rising economy and continuing urbanization is the main reason why it became the capital of Caraga region. Its amenities and establishments are modernized including tertiary hospitals, top universities and entertainment centers such as shopping malls, restaurants and five-star hotels.
