Gaya is a holy city beside the Falgu River, in the northeast Indian state of Bihar. It’s known for Vishnupad Mandir, a riverside temple with an octagonal shrine. Close by, the ancient Mangla Gauri Temple is set on a hilltop. To the north, Hindu devotees bath in a Brahma Kund pond before honoring their deceased ancestors atop Pretshila Hill. To the south lies the Hindu pilgrimage center of Bodh Gaya.

Gaya is a holy city which is in Bihar in India. It is the city where Lord Buddha attained enlightenment, hence it is called a city of salvation and enlightenment. There are several holy places like Vishnupad Temple and Mahabodhi Temple. Yearly many tourists from countries like Sri Lanka, Thailand, and Nepal visit Gaya. It is connected by international airport, railways and roadways.
