Fort Wayne is a relatively small city–home to about a quarter of a million people–spread out over a large area. Though the population is generally spread-out, the downtown area is lively for a city of this size. Furthermore, due to the low cost of living (the lowest of any city in the US), the arts scene is able to thrive here, as many local artists make a decent living working part time in service positions and part time as artists.

Fort Wayne, is a medium-sized, family-friendly city. The downtown is undergoing an exciting revitalization, with new shops and restaurants opening. We also have minor league hockey, baseball, and basketball teams. Fort Wayne’s Three Rivers Festival is one of the largest festivals in the state. The name of the festival refers to the three rivers which converge in the city, St. Mary’s, St. Joseph’s and the Maumee.
