The city has recently been the subject of many news headlines due to a statue of a slave-trader, Edward Colston, being thrown into the harbour during the Black Lives Matter protests. Bristol is a very diverse city. I love Bristol because of the river running through the city and into the docks. Tons of boats go in and out of those docks each week, each full of tourists. However, a large part of the city is up a hill (Clifton) so beware when visiting.
