Cost of Living and Inflation in Midlothian, Virginia: What do you need to know?

Midlothian is very similar to other developed areas nearby, namely Short Pump. However, not only is it less expensive to live there, it is also not as populated or congested. The drive to Richmond, our closest city, is still the same. However, it feels much quieter. The tree lined neighborhoods allow for a feeling of isolation while still being in close proximity to all the amenities one might wish for in suburbia.
Midlothian Mines Park not only serves as a nice place to go for a picnic, but also hosts ruins of coal mines, serving as reminders of our country’s formative years. Midlothian Apothecary is a local favorite. Although it is foremost a pharmacy, Midlothian Apothecary is one of the few remaining soda fountains in the commonwealth, providing great food and great service, all at a great price. In recent years, there has been a resurgence of Mom and Pop stores in the area, although almost all of them are restaurants: El Cerro Azul, Capital Ale House, Brick House Diner, and Great Harvest Bakery.
