Cagayan de Oro City is not as commercialized as Manila or Cebu but it is on of the developing cities in the country. Being said that, there are not much businesses or industries being standardized here yet, so it would be the best time to make one, plus the cost of living is not as high as the other cities in the country. Also, it is quite a small city compared to other popular ones in the country, so it would be a good opportunity to visit as much tourist attractions as you can.

In Cagayan de Oro City, one would need a high tolerance for traffic jams and crowded areas. Cagayan de Oro is quite crowded but is safe as long as luxury items such as jewelry and cellular phones are kept hidden when walking in crowded areas. The city also has a lot of parks available if ever a visitor would need to exercise or go for a stroll.

Cagayan de Oro is a safer place compared to Manila. Less traffic. Less hassle when traveling. If you’re a Christian, there’s plenty of Christian Churches in the area, you can ask around. There are also big malls you can visit and buy stuff that you want. The commodities here are cheaper than other cities as well. The weather is hot during sunny days, prepare yourself to sweat a lot. But I say Cagayan De Oro City is more peaceful and laid back when compared to other major cities in the country.

Despite the beautiful city, the streets are loaded with traffic and there is garbage everywhere. If you ever get lost, feel free to ask anyone for directions. Not only will they give you directions to your desired location, some might even show you the way themselves. If you are tight on money and have to save, there are eateries nearby that serve budget meals. Make sure you move in to a place with a lot of eateries.

Cagayan de Oro City has many tourist spots, malls, hotels, and supermarkets. Every night there is what we call ‘ukay-ukay’ or bazarre for them to buy clothes at a cheaper price—crowded but fun.

The place is centered at the heart of trade and commerce. Job opportunities and great plus wonderful adventure await in case you love the outdoors, however for non-outdoor people the city itself offers a way to distress you. The city offers good and affordable means to live in at your means.

Our city is “City of Golden Friendship”. The places are safe to wonder and there are a lot of hotels and restaurants which is affordable. You can ride a jeepney or van if you want to tour. The people are also friendly and hospitable.

Cagayan de Oro City is a city where it lies to its name, the City of Golden Friendship. Where it is a city where locals are friendly, and smiles a lot. Despite this city is in Mindanao, infamous for being a dangerous island but worry not! We’re always protected by military to all borders or wherever you go and the costs are fair enough for Mindanao is famous for its agriculture and gateway to all tourist spots.
