Brookline is a suburban oasis nestled within Boston (a separate city, not a neighborhood). It’s stunning (and stunningly expensive, from housing and private school). The are some great restaurants, many of which are in a neighborhood called Coolidge Corner. Tips from a local: visit the Brookline Booksmith and, if commuting into Boston is going to be part of your daily routine, live near the Green Line (the C-line not the B-line, which is too crammed with students).

Bustling down the freeway in Brookline, MA, one could expect to come upon multiple parks. With children laughing and playing one could lose themself in the memories of a more simplistic time. Although the cost of living has reached its pinnacle, there is still a city feel in some parts, but a suburban in others.
