Idaho Falls is THE largest town in South East Idaho. The people here are splendid and very welcoming to everyone. The summer weather is very nice, regularly running between the mid 80s to 90s Fahrenheit. The winter time often starts in December and ends around late March with temperature staying around 20 to 30 degrees Fahrenheit, but it does get sub 0 degrees in January and February. The spring is generally windy with occasional rainfall. The summer generally has little to no rain. Almost all of Idaho Falls’ precipitation occurs in the winter in the form of snow. Idaho Falls is near many gorgeous natural excursions. For example, Mesa Falls, Yellowstone National Park, and Craters of the Moon National Monument.
I’ve only lived in Idaho Falls for eight months; and although I love it here, I haven’t had a chance to explore the city. However, one thing that I was not aware of when I moved here; was the snow. I’m not talking about a little flurry here and there, I am talking about full on blizzards. I absolutely love the snow, and I think it is gorgeous. However, if you are not used to living in the snow, then I recommend visiting Idaho Falls before moving here.
If you don’t like winter sports, you probably shouldn’t move here. Winter is about nine months long so it’s usually cold and snowy. Be prepared to stock up on coats, jackets, gloves, beanies, and log sleeve shirts. The temperature can drop to about -20*F. The usual high in summer time is about 95*F.
