Public transport is decent with dedicated bus lanes. Almost every family owns 2-wheelers. Traffic is ok, it’s never as severe as Mumbai or Bangalore. Local crowd is quite helpful to strangers. You can manage fine with English, and Hindi definitely helps. For vegetarians, street food options are exciting & endless. Lots of iconic sight-seeing places besides superb local shopping options.

Ahmedabad is the city of foodies. Plenty of time for exploring the city. Also known as the cloth manchester of Gujarat. One should always bargain with the rickshaw drivers. My city is beautiful day and night. Ahmedabad is the city of tea lovers. Every festival is celebrated with great enthusiasm and appreciation as the city is home to people from all across the country.

The driving in the city is very rash. A lot of people do not follow traffic signals, overspeed, and drive like crazy. I prefer not to drive any vehicle myself as it often happens that vehicles crash into other people and it is difficult to take control at the last moment.

Summer clothes suit throughout the year. Summer heat is dry during April-May becomes humid from June onwards and can be unpredictable till October. Try to choose areas which are not low-lying i.e., which flood easily as rain can flood the city easily. Try and find accommodation near your place of work as travel time can be crazy unless being stuck in traffic is something one enjoys. This holds correct for the big city i.e., Ahmedabad. If, however, you choose a remote area, then traffic is easier.

Ahmedabad being a big city, it is imperative that home should be near the office. Climate is hot throughout the year. Traffic sense is poor in this city. Local people are helpful and friendly. Shortage of water here is perennial. City is endowed with good infrastructure and mass transit system.

Ahmedabad has excellent studying opportunities. We have some of the best B-schools, like IIM-A, MICA, etc., some of the best engineering colleges, medical schools, you name it, we have it. The city has low crime rate against women, and is comparatively safer. Traffic is a problem sometimes. Food is okay.

Ahmedabad is the largest city in the state of Gujarat. It is famous for all types of cuisines. One must not miss the Pani Puri while visiting. We don’t have bars or pubs but our nightlife is long drive on SG highway, eating till our stomach hurts at Manek Chowk, and feeling like we’re on cloud nine by enjoying the cool breeze on Riverfront.

A clear idea of specific residential localities, shopping centres for routine and high-end purchases will ease the initial confusion of living in the crowded city. Before venturing to explore the city, it is better to do a quick research on traffic conditions in the possible routes. There are areas which offer indigenous good at remarkably lower rates than elsewhere. Getting such information will be a blessing for both long-term and short-term visitors.

Ahmedabad is one of the best cities in India. Being UNESCO-certified city, there are many monuments to visit in India which includes the iconic Lal-Darwaza. It’s a monument which is famous for endless number of markets and stalls. In Ahmedabad, besides monuments, long lines of vehicles also await you. People are known for breaking rules and all new residents must know this.

If someone is coming by train, they should book an Ola or Uber instead of hiring an auto as the auto drivers aren’t always honest. They might take you on a half city tour even when your destination might be nearby. in Ahmedabad there is an option of local sharing autos (Called Shuttles by localities), so instead of hiring a cab or personal vehicle one can easily use those facilities to travel nearby places at cheaper rates.

Ahmedabad is famous for its street food places, tourist attraction, cotton textile, Navratri celebration etc. and there are some common issues we face here are daily traffic jam, fast life style, people with no sense about traffic but the main advantage is that people are always ready to help each other in any situation.
