How bad is traffic in Sydney, New South Wales?

People moving here should know the weather is sunny and warm. Traffic can be frustrating but the people are lovely. Most of the time it is a very desirable place. Probably one of the greatest cities in the world in all truth. I love it.
Sydney’s public transport system is hectically congested when getting to and from work during peak hours from 7-9am and 3-6pm on the weekdays. Try to avoid travelling via public transport with heavy luggage during those hours. On the bright side the best place for a picnic is in the Botanic gardens in Circular Quay – accessible via bus, ferry and train.
Please keep in mind to leave adequate time for travel from place to place. Sydney, Australia, is ever evolving and there is often traffic due to road work and new building sites. Trains and busses are also a great way to get around but please don’t get me wrong, we have or fair share of delays with this too.
