Mutare is a beautiful city with rolling hills and deep valleys. It is referred as the jewel in the east and is a gateway to Mozambique. The weather is beautiful such that Cecil John Rhodes had his summer home in Nyanga. There are many renowned tourist attractions in the surrounding areas.
Mutare is in the mountains. There is not a lot of activities but we benefit from tourism. The environment is taken very seriously and it was attracts most of the travellers. There are a few shopping centres where you can buy food and clothes. The children can go to the movies.
Mutare has many scenic views and the climate is warm to cool throughout the year. The city’s economy is driven by mainly agriculture, mining and tourism. It is not very expensive to live in the city compared to to the major cities like Harare and Bulawayo. Arts and culture are valued greatly by the people.
