For someone moving to Giza, I highly recommend Zamalek neighborhood for cultural events and social activities. It hosts the best coffee shops and restaurants for every taste and food preference.

He should know traffic is very high, products are expensive, salaries are low. He should know there is a lot of scammers, tipping is highly expected, security is poor, summer is sweltering hot, dresses are conservative, prepare for high taxes, drones are forbidden, heavy military presence, and it’s normally easy to get a visa on arrival.

This city has all of the needed services; starting from dry cleaning to grocery stores. However, most neighborhoods are not that friendly; they sometimes pick up unnecessary fights just for fun. Also, there is a sporting club and it is really good, it has a swimming pool, a Tennis and Football playground.

Giza is very crowded, yet a city that perfectly suits someone who enjoys nightlife. Stores never close before 12 AM. Nightclubs, malls and restaurants are open until after midnight. The weather is really hot in summer, yet pretty warm in winter. There are so many museums, monuments and sightseeing places.
